The Challenge
Nutridome wanted to launch a mobile e-commerce application that seamlessly incorporates all essential elements from the existing web app and adds some new features.
The challenge was not only to provide a well-functioning and engaging mobile shopping app. The main goal was to effectively redirect the traffic from the old web application.
We wanted to ensure the app provides a consistent user experience and design across both Apple and Android devices while covering all essential elements of the existing web app. The application was supposed to attract users with its intuitiveness and functionalities that ensure a smooth shopping experience.

The Process
The development of the MVP for the mobile application began with translating the existing web app functionalities into a basic smart device e-store, laying the foundation for the mobile application.
During the design phase, we established the user interface and experience, ensuring alignment with the web app's look and feel. Next, we implemented the core features necessary for a functional mobile store. Additional features enhancing user experience and broadening app capabilities were introduced later on. The core objective of the mobile app was to integrate live shopping video functionality.
Based on user feedback and initial performance metrics, we have refined and expanded the app in the post-mvp development phase, preparing it for future enhancements and scaling.

The customized live video shopping feature has significantly enhanced promotional efforts and boosted user interaction, offering real-time shopping experiences directly within the app. The app quickly gained traction from its launch, with 9,000 installations in the first few weeks and 6,000 active users by November 2021, just three months after its release. The highest number of daily installations hit 1,200, showcasing the app's rapidly growing popularity.
Today, Nutridome's mobile app boasts a user base of over 180,000 across both iOS and Android platforms, reflecting its continued success and appeal. Seamless system integration and data synchronization ensured real-time accuracy with Nutridome's existing e-commerce system. The intuitive design and seamless user experience led to 30% of traffic shifting from the old web app to the new mobile solution within a few weeks.
